Operating System (OS) introduces the design and implementation of operating systems. This course will briefly cover the evolution and major components of operating system. Particular emphasis will be given to three major OS subsystems: memory management, processes management, file systems and operating systems in mobile devices today that supporting distributed systems.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- CLO 1 : Explain the concept and system environment of operating system (C2, PLO 1)
- CLO 2 : Follow installation process of operating system with appropriate setting and management (P3, PLO 3)
